Services / Neighbourhood Management Strategy

What We Do

EMS Ltd delivers neighbourhood management a project that provides a link between residents and local service providers.  EMS Ltd has an essential role in improving communities for those that live in them.

What is Neighbourhood Management?

Influencing these services is achieved by identifying and harnessing the local knowledge, expertise and needs of residents and matching this with the specialist knowledge and expertise of service providers. This partnership approach helps ensure that:

  • Vital information can be widely shared between agencies;
  • There is a focus on those services that really matter to local people;
  • Decisions based on this information will bring about more innovative and effective services;
  • Duplication in service provision is minimised and
  • Any gaps that exist in services can be identified and   closed

Residents are at the heart of neighbourhood management. They are the people that have to live with any failure of services to get to grips with litter, housing crime, anti-social behaviour, poorly maintained roads, parks and buildings.
